A leading financial institution in Austria is currently looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator for Mainframe. In this role, you will design and optimize high-performance database solutions and support development teams with your expertise in the mainframe environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Database Design & Optimization – Develop and enhance database structures based on business requirements
- Backup, Recovery & Performance Tuning – Ensure reliability, stability, and efficiency
- Monitoring & Capacity Planning – Manage performance, storage resources, and scalability
- Production Support & Troubleshooting – Analyze and optimize ongoing operations
- Software Upgrades & Maintenance – Ensure up-to-date system versions and continuous improvements
- Developer Support – Provide consulting on database-related questions
Your profile:
- Experience in the mainframe environment, especially with JCL, REXX, and either DB2 or Adabas
- Basic knowledge of mainframe programming languages
- Independent and proactive work style as well as enthusiasm for mainframe technologies
